let's talk about it.
Sometimes the pressures we face in life can feel overwhelming, and at times we may not want to discuss these things with those closest to us for a variety of reasons. We may also feel like we struggle to identify what we are actually feeling. I am of the strong belief that until we ask that important question, "what does better look like to you?" it can be difficult to then identify what has to change, who is responsible for starting the process and by when might it be commenced.
I an experienced international therapist (mental health clinician/counselor, or however you want to label it!) working across a variety of sectors working across a variety of sectors (private practice, hospitals, schools, courts and more) that firmly believes in empowering others and reframing our narratives to challenge some of our unhelpful thinking patterns. My predominant modalities of therapy integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)and mindfulness (among others). I also have a lot of experience working with frontline workers/ those with significant exposure to trauma, depression and anxiety and feel well skilled in trauma-therapy.
I am presently based in Windermere, Florida (Orlando area), but can offer video or phone sessions for people worldwide. I understand the importance of feeling a connection with your therapist, and look forward to speaking to you to see if we might be a good fit for what you'd like to work on.
I also work within the EAP (Employee Assistance Program) realm, and can also assist your organisation with debriefings, critical incident response and general counselling support for staff.
